• Son of a Liberal and Alliance councillor and parliamentary candidate.

• A continuous member of the Lib Dems and its predecessors since 1984.

• Stood for parliament in this region, and campaigned extensively here for many years.

• Believes we need a credible campaigner at the top of the list to win that second seat in the European Parliament.
